Getting our Bearings....

Learned a few things today.... the biggest one is that it is not a myth that the entire country shuts down for 3 hours after lunch.  Nothing... nothing is open.  That's okay, we just have to keep it in mind.

Once Rodger got back with the car, we drove a few minutes to a nearby village to find the grocery store.  It seemed to take us hours to actually find it, which is pretty funny, given the size of the village.  But anyway, we bought a bunch of groceries and cheap wine which was recommended to us by Laura and her mother, who happened to be at the store at the same time.  Coincidence that the only person we know in France was there!  We actually had a home cooked meal, with vegetables!!  So great to be home.

In the evening we put on our jammies and watched the Euro Cup:  Portugal beat Whales
